Free, private, and instant — no account required Trusted debt & loan calculators

About DebtPayoff.io

DebtPayoff.io was built on a simple idea: understanding your debt shouldn't require a spreadsheet, a finance degree, or handing your financial information to a stranger. We build free, fast, and private calculators that give you a clear, honest picture of your debt — and a realistic plan to get out of it.

Our mission

Debt is one of the most stressful financial realities millions of people face, and the math behind it — compounding interest, amortization, minimum payment formulas — is genuinely confusing. Our mission is to translate that math into simple, actionable tools so anyone can answer questions like "when will I be debt-free?" or "is a balance transfer actually worth it?" in under a minute.

How our calculators work

Every calculator on this site is built on standard, transparent financial formulas — the same monthly-compounding amortization math used by banks, lenders, and certified financial planners. We don't use black-box estimates. Every tool shows you the underlying method, and several include a visible formula so you can verify the math yourself or apply it elsewhere.

All calculations run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. We never see, collect, or store the balances, interest rates, or income figures you enter — nothing is transmitted to a server. You can even use our calculators offline once the page has loaded.

Who we are

DebtPayoff.io is an independent publisher of personal finance calculators and educational content. We are not a lender, loan servicer, credit counseling agency, or financial advisory firm, and we do not sell financial products. The site is supported by advertising, which allows us to keep every calculator completely free.

Editorial standards

We aim for every article and calculator on this site to be accurate, current, and genuinely useful. Content is reviewed for mathematical correctness and clarity. If you ever spot an error, please let us know — we take corrections seriously.

Note: DebtPayoff.io provides educational tools and general information only. Nothing on this site constitutes financial, legal, or tax advice. For guidance specific to your situation, consult a licensed financial advisor, accredited credit counselor, or attorney.
